The Evolution of Tasca Racing in Photos

During the golden era of the 60’s and 70’s, Bob Tasca, Sr. worked closely with other icons such as Henry Ford II and Carroll Shelby to bring Ford to the forefront of performance.

Tasca is the birthplace of historic muscle cars such as the Ford Cobra Jet, Thunderbolt, Tasca Street Boss, and Mystery race cars.

Starting in the 1960’s, the Tasca Racing team competed successfully for over a decade on the NHRA circuit, winning the prestigious Winter Nationals in Pomona, California and the Super Stock Nationals in 1965 with Hall of Fame driver Bill Lawton.

Today the Tasca performance heritage continues with the second and third generations of the family. Carl Tasca, Sr. (Bob’s son) drives one of the fastest Ford Cobra Jets in the country. Bob Tasca III (Bob’s grandson) pilots a Shelby Mustang Nitro Funny Car.
